BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Overnight snow is making for another slippery commute today and it’s already caused several closures.

WWU and Whatcom Community College have both announced their campuses will be closed Tuesday, December 28th.

The county’s debris drop-off site has also announced they’ll be shutting down operations after today due to the weather conditions.

In Skagit County, the COVID testing and vaccination site at the fairgrounds will be closed until Thursday.

The Department of Transportation says new snow that fell overnight froze creating slick roads around Whatcom County once again.

Crews are out treating them but drivers should slow down and be prepared for icy conditions even on main roads.
