WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A Whatcom County woman is in trouble for allegedly falsely claiming she’s a licensed counselor.
In October, the Washington State Department of Health sent Karen Mittet a notice of intent to issue a cease-and-desist after she represented herself as a counselor and tried to provide therapy to a healthcare investigator.
Mittet is not licensed to practice counseling in Washington State.
