WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – What a difference a day makes.
Warmer temperatures and heavy rain overnight have left Wednesday night’s snowfall mostly a memory around Whatcom County.
Watch for standing water in places.
But all passes over the Cascades remain closed this morning, Friday, January 7th.
There are currently no open routes to Eastern Washington.
Snoqualmie, Stevens, White and Blewett Passes are all closed and will likely remain shut down until Sunday, January 9th.
WSDOT says conditions have deteriorated and the passes are not safe for their crews or the public.
