King5 reports Bloodworks Northwest is in a “code red” situation and needs to fill more than a thousand blood donation appointments over the next ten days.
They say the recent wave of COVID cases has decreased their donor base and they’re having a hard timing filling orders for Washington hospitals.
Blookworks says they are dangerously low on type A and O blood.
