BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Police have released more information about a homicide last week, including the victim’s identity.

Court documents show that the body of 31-year-old Kasaundra Booker was found in a stairwell on North State Street on February 8th.

Investigators say Booker had a single gunshot wound in her head.

Surveillance cameras later revealed Booker was seen with the suspect, Shilo Englert, in the hour leading up to her death.

Englert was seen leaving the crime scene just ten minutes before a witness discovered Booker’s body and called 911.

Englert has a criminal record and was most recently incarcerated in the Whatcom County Jail in January of this year.

Police say they have probable cause to arrest Englert for second degree murder, though he is still at large.

If you know anything about the whereabouts of the suspect, please contact the Bellingham Police at  (360) 778-8611 or online here.

The investigation by BPD detectives produced evidence that 33-year-old Shilo A. Englert was responsible for her death.
