OLYMPIA, Wash. – Workers impacted by the floods from November of last year could be eligible for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA).
DUA provides financial assistance to people who don’t qualify for regular state-funded unemployment insurance or have lost employment or self-employment as a direct result of the floods.
The benefits, activated February 7, apply to workers in Clallam, Skagit and Whatcom counties, as well as tribal lands of the Lummi Nation, Nooksack Indian Tribe and Quileute Tribe.
Applications close on March 9.
Visit the Washington Employment Security Department’s DUA webpage for more information and to apply for assistance.
