FERNDALE, Wash. – A suspicious device found in a Ferndale middle school on Monday, March 7th, was deemed non-threatening by law enforcement officials.
Ferndale Police were called to Vista Middle School to investigate the device while staff and students were moved to a safe distance, according to a joint statement from the police department and Ferndale School District.
Bellingham Police assisted the Ferndale officers in disassembling the device.
Police also conducted a sweep of the building before allowing normal operations to resume.
