WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – While we’re expecting rain in the lowlands from this atmospheric river system, the Cascades of Whatcom and Skagit Counties are expecting lots of snow.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the high country through Wednesday, March 16th, at 5 a.m.
One to three feet of new snow is forecast for elevations above 4000 feet.
The advisory includes the Mount Baker Highway and the Mount Baker Ski Area.
