BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police have arrested a man suspected of stabbing a person outside of the Bakerview Fred Meyer earlier this month.

Court documents state that the stabbing occurred on March 13th in the parking lot of the store.

The victim was stabbed once in the chest, and has since recovered.

They told investigators that the person who stabbed them went by the name “Deaf Jam” or “Marcus”.

Police familiar with the “Deaf Jam” alias were able to identify the suspect as 29-year-old Marcus Kaptinski.

Kaptinski was taken into custody on March 17th, and remains behind bars at the Whatcom County Jail on $250,000 bond.
