OLYMPIA, Wash. – It’s official.
Pickleball is now Washington’s state sport.
The Seattle Times reports Governor Jay Inslee signed the bill giving pickleball the official designation on Monday, March 28th, on Bainbridge Island, the place where the sport was originally invented.
The sport is one of the fastest growing in popularity across the United States.
There are a number dedicated courts in Bellingham and Ferndale where people can play for free.
