EVERSON, Wash. – The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a recent Everson burglary.
The department says someone burglarized an Everson home last week, stealing $8,000 in cash, checks and credit card receipts from a charitable auction.
The donations were in a green Peoples Bank money bag.
Two purses containing credit and debit cards were also taken and some of the cards were later used in Bellingham.
A Sheriff’s spokesperson says a woman named a person of interest in the case has contacted deputies.
Investigators are looking for information about the jeep pictured in the attached surveillance photo.
