Robbie Ray took home a win in his home debut for the Seattle Mariners. Ray threw for six innings, notching four strikes while allowing four hits. “It felt great,” Ray said. “It’s nice to get the first one out of the way and pitch in front of the home fans and be able to come through and get a win for us.”
Six different players scored for the Mariners as Eugenio Suarez led the way with three RBIs and a run.
With the win, the M’s improved to 6-5 on the season with a 3-1 home record.
The Rangers and Mariners will square off for game two of their three game series in Seattle tonight. Logan Gilbert will start for the M’s at pitcher for the third time this season.
