ARLINGTON, Wash. – An Arlington company’s all-electric plane isn’t just on the drawing board anymore.

KOMO reports that one of the nation’s largest commuter airlines has ordered 75 planes from Eviation.

The company’s Alice model is fully electric and designed to carry nine passengers.

It will have a range of 440 nautical miles and make its maiden flight this year.

Cape Air of Hyannis, Massachusetts praises its partnership with Eviation.

President and CEO Linda Markham says “Our customers will be at the forefront of aviation history and our communities will benefit from emission-free travel.”
