MAPLE FALLS, Wash. – Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of two robberies involving handguns Friday night, April 22nd.
Sheriff’s spokesperson Deb Slater says a person reported a strong-arm vehicle theft involving a gun in Maple Falls at about 10:45 p.m.
The victim was uncooperative and couldn’t provide a description of a suspect.
At about the same time a call came in about an armed robbery at a gas station at Pole Road and Hannegan.
A driver said they pulled up to get gas when a young woman approached.
She asked for help in paying for some items and the person agreed, but she then pulled a gun and demanded money and the victim’s cellphone.
