MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – Mount Vernon Police have identified the suspected driver who hit a family of four as they rode bikes on a city sidewalk.

The department says a $500,000 arrest warrant has been issued for 31-year-old Ramon Ventura Jr.

The Mount Vernon man is thought to have been behind the wheel of a car that veered across Laventure Road and hit the two adults and two children last Saturday, April 16th.

He left the scene and he and a female passenger later abandoned the vehicle and ran.

A 46-year-old man and 44-year-old woman riding bikes were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, while two children were also hit but not injured.
