OLYMPIA, Wash. – If you’ve used Turbo Tax to file your taxes, you could be due a refund.
Washington state Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced today, Wednesday, May 4th, that after an investigation, tax preparation company Intuit will have to return $3.75 million to Washington taxpayers.
He says over 120,000 Washingtonians paid to e-file with the company between 2016 and 2018, but Intuit failed to inform customers they were eligible to file for free with the IRS.
Eligible taxpayers will get around $30 for each year they paid to file with TurboTax.
If you qualify, a claims administrator will reach out to arrange repayment.
