LYNDEN, Wash. – The Lynden School Board is looking for replacements after two members announced that they’re leaving.
Current board president Brian Johnson is stepping down because he and his family are moving to Sumas.
The Lynden Tribune reports that he’s been a member of the board since 2013.
Member Kelli Kettels, who’s been on the board since 2017, also announced her departure as her family is moving to South Carolina.
The district thanked Johnson and Kettels for their service in a statement and said they’re looking for qualified candidates to take their places.
Candidates must be registered voters within the Lynden School District to be eligible.
