BLAINE, Wash. – Blaine School District officials have cancelled classes today, Thursday, May 26th, following an hours-long lockdown on Wednesday, May 25th.

A Blaine Police spokesperson said a student reported receiving a threat earlier in the day, then more threats were reported in the afternoon.

Some students were ultimately taken to the Boys and Girls Club to be reunited with their families.

Others were moved to the stadium to wait for buses or parents.

Officers from multiple agencies responded and cleared school buildings.

No injuries were reported.
