BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Thieves stole valuable mementos from a reinforced display case in Western Washington University’s Carver Gym over the weekend.
A statement from the University says a NCAA National Championship ring and watch were both taken sometime late Friday or early Saturday.
The mementos from the school’s 2012 Men’s National Championship basketball team are valued at $400 to $500 and the university says damage to the display case totals $25,000.
They’re looking into whether the items can be replaced while campus police investigate leads.
