WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A real estate industry tracker says the market in Western Washington is “more balanced” and “not so crazy.”

The Northwest Listing Service says most counties in the state are seeing more homes on the market than at this time last year.

But it’s also seeing a slowdown in sales and a continued increase in prices.

Some counties have double the number of properties for sale than they had a year ago.

Whatcom County listings are up about 25%.

The average sale price in here is over $691,000, and the median price is $610,000.
