BELLINGHAM, Wash. – To pull over, or not to pull over?
Following two recent incidents, the Bellingham Police Department can confirm that pulling over is the better bet.
In a social media post, BPD said that officers were patrolling an area near The Home Depot last week when they noticed a truck full of fresh flowers driving away.
During the daytime, this may not have looked suspicious.
However, it was 3 a.m.
The driver pulled over and admitted to stealing dozens of flowers and bags of soil.
Later in the week, officers attempted to pull over a stolen vehicle, but that driver chose not to pull over.
Instead, he dipped into a driveway and tried to flee on foot.
K-9 Destro found the suspect hiding in another vehicle and he was taken into custody.
Bellingham Police say that this was the suspect’s second stolen car arrest in two months.
