FERNDALE, Wash. – The Ferndale Arts Commission is asking local artists to help beautify the city.

The commission is seeking art work that can be reproduced as vinyl wraps that’ll be applied to traffic control boxes and other utilitarian structures.

The goal is to bring art to surfaces that are often targeted by vandals.

A statement says “the wrapped boxes are intended to enhance neighborhood and community identity, turn ordinary spaces into community landmarks, and promote community dialogue.”

Art can be created in any format as long as it can be transferred to two dimensional wraps.
