BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A one-night stand ended up costing a man much more than he had anticipated.
Court documents state that the victim met with the suspect, 27-year-old April Ritter, at the Baymont Inn in Bellingham on February 5th.
The victim told investigators that he had been drinking and passed out shortly after the two got to his hotel room.
When he woke up, his wallet and car keys were nowhere to be found, and his car was no longer in the hotel’s parking lot.
Security footage confirmed that Ritter was the only person who left the room overnight.
She was taken into custody on July 1st.
