BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Workers at Base Camp recently saved a man’s life following an earlier stabbing.
Bellingham Police report the victim arrived at the entrance of Base Camp on Monday night, July 18th, with four stab wounds to his neck.
Lighthouse Mission Ministries CEO and President Hans Erchinger-Davis said that staff members immediately jumped into action.
One employee recently completed EMT training, according to Erchinger-Davis, and was able to put pressure on the wounds until an ambulance arrived.
The victim told investigators that he had been stabbed on North State Street.
The stabbing is still under investigation.
