BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A data breach has led to an investigation by the Bellingham Public Library.
The library said that an earlier breach in the Whatcom County Library System uncovered the data of about 735 patrons.
That data was downloaded by an unauthorized source.
It includes patron names and birthdates, along with their library ID information.
The Whatcom County Library System’s database was breached in late June, where patron data was also compromised.
The Bellingham Public Library has since contacted all patrons impacted by the breach.
