The Seahawks announced on Wednesday that they’re giving linebacker K.J. Wright a one day contract so he can retire with the team. Wright has expressed his desire to retire a Seahawk, and Seattle now grants his wish.
Wright was with the Hawks from 2011-2020 and played a key role in both of their Super Bowl appearances, including a championship. Wright is third on Seattle’s all time tackle list with 934.
Wright previously stated that he wanted to keep playing at age 33, but he didn’t want to play if it wasn’t in Seattle.
