FERNDALE, Wash. – Frustration is growing in Ferndale as mail service delays continue.
Cascadia Daily News reports a staffing shortage at the Ferndale post office has disrupted daily mail delivery and forced many residents to wait in line, sometimes for hours, to get their packages.
Some residents say they have waited up to three days for mail delivery and when it comes it is only paper mail.
The USPS says they are rotating employees and assignments so residents will get their mail the following day.
It is unclear if outgoing mail has been impacted, but if you are a Ferndale resident voting in the primary election, you might want to drop your ballot in a drop box rather than mailing it in.
