BLAINE, Wash.- A Blaine man’s impatience with a work crew led to his arrest late last month.
Court documents state that PSE crews were in the area of Loomis Trail Rd on July 27th to restore power for over 100 residents.
Crews were approached by 68 year old Brad Holtzheimer, who was upset that crews were cutting the branches off of his property’s trees.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies monitored the area as PSE crews continued their work.
However, they were called back to the scene later that afternoon after Holtzheimer returned with a semi-automatic handgun.
Workers told investigators that they observed Holtzheimer loading the gun in front of them, at which point they left the area and called 911.
Holtzheimer also left the scene, but deputies were able to take him into custody at a traffic stop.
He was released from the Whatcom County Jail on Friday, July 29.
