BLAINE, Wash. – Blaine High School will be host to several college football games this fall.

Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia says it will move four of its home football games to Blaine because of pandemic-related border restrictions.

It says the requirement that all visitors to Canada be vaccinated against COVID-19 has complicated its games against schools from Texas and New Mexico.

Blaine High School’s renovated stadium has an artificial turf field and can seat 2000 fans.

In addition to the Simon Fraser games, Blaine will continue to serve as the home field for Ferndale High School while it’s facilities are being rebuilt.
