SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. – Three people were killed in separate car accidents within a 24-hour span on the same road in Skagit County late last week.
The Washington State Patrol said that around 12:30 a.m. Friday, September 2nd, a car travelling on SR 20 rear-ended another car in Sedro-Woolley.
The second car hit a car heading the other way head-on.
26-year-old Michael Warnke-Sedano, the driver of the third vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Later that morning, a car driving on SR 20 ran a red light at the intersection of Avon Allen Road just before 8 a.m.
The driver crashed into a second car, causing the second driver to be ejected.
The ejected driver, 42-year-old John Burke, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
About half an hour later, on SR 20 in Hamilton, a vehicle crashed into a bridge near Cabin Creek Road in foggy conditions.
33-year-old Brice Kucera of California died from his injuries at the hospital.
