SEATTLE, Wash. – Flying out of SeaTac Airport was a frustrating mess for many travelers on Sunday, September 18th.
KING 5 reports lines for security check points stretched into the parking garage at one point.
An airport spokesperson says waits to get through security were up to 90 minutes, but some passengers claimed they were in line for three hours and missed their flights.
TSA says it did not have any staffing shortages and 27 of 29 security lanes were open.
The airport says part of the problem was the roughly 4,000 cruise ship passengers who were dropped off every hour through the morning.
