BURLINGTON, Wash. – Over 130 dogs that were rescued from deplorable conditions at a property in Sedro-Woolley in September are now ready for adoption.

The Humane Society of Skagit Valley had to close its doors to care for the dogs because they were in such bad shape.

They were rescued from what the Humane Society calls a hoarding-turned-puppy-mill operation.

KING 5 reports the organization will host an adoption event for the rescued dogs this Friday, October 21st and Saturday, October 22nd.

The event will be held at the HSSV location from 10 a.m. for 4:30 p.m. in Burlington at 18841 Kelleher Road.

Potential adopters must apply online at skagithumane.org and be approved before attending the event
