BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A would-be robber was arrested in Bellingham after leaving a crucial piece of evidence behind, his identification.
Court documents state that the suspect walked into a Washington Federal Bank branch Friday morning, October 21st, and announced that he intended to rob them.
The suspect then asked a teller to make a copy of his ID as other employees called police.
He fled the bank, without any cash or his ID, after being yelled at by another customer.
Police quickly located and arrested 65-year-old Mark Gotcher near the bank.
