OLYMPIA, Wash. – If you are looking for work and love the great outdoors, you are in luck.
The Washington State Department of Natural Resources is looking to fill nearly 60 permanent wildfire and forest health jobs.
The positions include firefighters, hand crews and heavy equipment operators.
In the offseason, the positions will work on forest health and advancing the goals laid out in the DNR’s 20-Year Forest Health Strategic Plan.
Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz says they’ve made wildfire fighting a top priority and want to bring natural wildfire resistance back to Washington’s forests.
Anyone interested in applying to one of the positions should visit the DNR website.
