BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Mark your calendar as Bellingham and Whatcom County host meetings on vital community issues.
First, the Bellingham City Council will take public input on affordable housing at a townhall meeting Monday evening, November 14th, from 6 – 8:30 p.m.
They hope to hear how residents view housing availability, how affordability can be improved and what types of housing suit the city.
Residents can attend in person at City Hall, via Zoom or watch on BTV10.
And the Whatcom County Stakeholder advisory committee is holding a listening session on public safety.
County Council member Barry Buchanan says the focus of that meeting will be planning for a new jail proposal and other policing and public safety issues.
The meeting will be Tuesday, November 15th, at 6 p.m. in the Whatcom County Council chamber.
Attendance and participation will be in person, via Zoom or by phone.
