EVERSON, Wash. – An Everson man has been found guilty of sexually abusing a child.
A jury found 56-year-old Joel Zwald guilty on three child rape and molestation charges on October 20th, according to court documents.
Zwald was arrested in November 2019 following an investigation into the abuses.
The child had previously reported the abuse to Bellingham Police in 2012, but the case was dismissed due to a lack of evidence.
A sentencing date has been set for December 1st.
