MOSCOW, Idaho – The killer, or killers, who fatally stabbed four University of Idaho students remains at large, prompting many students to leave campus.

So many students had left the campus in Moscow that university officials said a candlelight vigil scheduled for today, Wednesday, November 16th, would instead be held after the Thanksgiving break.

The four deceased students, all close friends, were found in an off-campus rental home around noon on Sunday, November 13th, and officials said they likely were killed several hours earlier.

20-year-old Ethan Chapin of Conway was among the students found dead.

Chapin was a freshman at the school and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.

The other victims were identified as Madison Mogen and Kaylee GonCalves, both from Idaho, and Xana Kernodle of Arizona.

Kernodle and Chapin were dating, and all four were members of sororities or fraternities.

The Moscow Police Department has not said whether investigators have identified any suspects but maintained in a statement that the killings came in an isolated, targeted attack.

Investigators are now working to establish a timeline of the victims’ activities before they were killed.
