BELLINGHAM, Wash. – With a winter weather advisory in effect, emergency overnight shelters remain open in two Whatcom County locations.

People in need of shelter in Bellingham will be able to stay in the Civic Field locker rooms from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m.

The shelter will remain open during those hours through Saturday, December 3rd.

In Ferndale, an emergency shelter will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. today, Wednesday, November 30th, at the United Church of Ferndale.

A 6 p.m. bus to the Bellingham shelter will be available on Commercial Street and Central Avenue for those who need transportation.
