BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Icy conditions have shut down the runways at SeaTac and forced flight cancellations in Bellingham.
SeaTac says that their crews are working around the clock to get the runways de-iced, and that safety is their top concern.
Alaska Airlines has also announced that all of their flights before noon have been cancelled.
They do not have an estimated reopening time for the SeaTac runways.
There are also many flight cancellations out of the Bellingham Internation Airports.
Numerous other flights there have been moved to later in the afternoon.
Passengers are being urged to check with their airlines for updates on specific flights.
