BLAINE, WA. – (KGMI.com) The registration deadline is approaching for some holiday programs in north Whatcom that give help to families struggling financially.
Blaine’s Community Assistance Program is once again giving away Thanksgiving dinner baskets to community members that qualify.
Residents hoping to receive a basket will need to register online before Friday, November 10th.
Once registered, a postcard will be mailed with a specific time between 12 and 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21st, to pick up the ready-to-cook meals.
Also approaching is the deadline to register for the Community Toy Store, an event that allows qualified residents to shop for toys and gift cards that are discounted at 75%.
The Community Toy Store will take place December 7 to 9 p.m. at Valley Church in Blaine with a registration deadline set for Sunday, November 26.
