FERNDALE, WA. – (KGMI.com) Ferndale Police have concluded their investigation into an explosion and fire at a home on Sunday.
Police responded just before noon and found fire fighters already on the scene in the 6100 block of Apollo Drive.
The explosion damaged the home’s structure in the area of the garage and tore off the garage door.
They found the explosion was likely caused by a gas leak and combustable materials kept inside the garage.
No one was hurt and the incident did not appear to be the result of criminal activity.
