BELLINGHAM, WASH. – One road blocked by a rock slide is still closed, but another one is now open.
Lake Whatcom Boulevard just south of Strawberry Point is shut down because of loose boulders above the roadway.
Lake Louise Road is a detour.
The slide is in City of Bellingham’s Dutch Harbor Reserve.
The City is contracting with a construction company to remove the rocks.
You will get a ticket if you get caught driving through the closure and there’s chance you could be smashed by a big rock.
Meantime, Chuckanut Drive is back open following a couple of rock slides south of Larrabee State Park.
