MARYSVILLE, Wash – An 18- year old Camano Island man is in the hospital after being hit while walking on I-5 this morning.
The Washington State Patrol reports Joseph Smiley was trying to cross the freeway near Marysville when he was hit by an SUV driven by Paulo Cruz-Salgado of Burlington.
Smiley was taken to Providence Medical Center; no charges were filed.
