SUDDEN VALLEY, WASH. With the late spring, comes a late opening for the North Cascades Highway.
The State Department of Transportation is warning travelers Highway 20 could stay closed until June.
That’s only happened once in the last 40 years.
The Seattle Times reports there is as much as 45 feet of snow on the highway in some places.
