OLYMPIA, WASH. – A student group rallied outside the state capitol Sunday afternoon, calling on lawmakers to fully fund education.
The state supreme court ruled the legislature needs to fix the way we pay for schools.
Olympia High School student Gracie Anderson says too often their voices go unheard.
“I want to tell the legislature that we matter and our student voices matter. We’re being affected by your polices, especially the ones regarding education and we deserve to share our perspectives,” Anderson says.
The students also want legislators to improve classroom technology and create smaller class sizes.
