BELLINGHAM, WASH. – After 30 years, Morrie’s Drive-In on Birchwood Avenue is shutting its doors for the last time.
The restaurant’s last day is Thursday, as the Bellingham Herald reports the owners are retiring.
Lynn and Cang Chhan have owned and operated the business since 1986 as the restaurant’s fourth owners.
Their son says they came to the U.S. as refugees of the Cambodian genocide in the late 70’s.
Lynn says they have some potential buyers interested in Morrie’s, but nothing is finalized.
