The Seattle Times is reporting Seahawk coach Pete Carroll says multiple teams have called the Hawks looking into a potential trade for cornerback Richard Sherman. Carroll spoke this morning at the league meetings in Phoenix. The coach said, ” You either are competing or you are not. So we have always had to be open to every suggestion that comes along. There have been some teams that have called, and so we have talked about it. But he is extremely important to our football team. I don’t see anything happening at all. I don’t see anything happening with any of our players…it has been talked about.”
Carroll continued on making it clear he hopes Sherman avoid some of the issues in 2017 that surrounded him in 2016. Carroll said, “I’m anxious to see him come back. I know there have been some issues. I’m anxious to see him handle everything and do really well and represent himself and his teammates in great fashion.”
