LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Police say the located the infant’s mother who they say blamed the incident on drugs.
She will be put in jail.
Meanwhile the father was arrested earlier today on an outstanding warrant.
The baby was uninjured and taken to a local hospital.
Lakewood Police Lt. Chris Lawler says a woman walking home in a residential neighborhood early Monday stopped when she thought she heard a distressed animal.
Instead she found the infant boy lying in the grass.
The baby was placed in protective state custody.
