Oso residents evacuate after slow-moving landslide Friday night

OSO, Wash. – Residents near Oso evacuated their homes Friday night due to a slow-moving landslide.

People living near the site of the deadly 2014 slide noticed cracks along a private road that runs up a hillside near Highway 530 and called authorities.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s office says geologists will inspect the area today.

No injuries or damage were reported.
