If you like to play games, you’re in luck.
Two new places opening up in Bellingham are for you.
Hugh Newmark is the owner of Best Buds Gaming Lounge on Mackenzie in Fairhaven.
It will focus on video games.
“If casual gamers want to come in and grab a beer. If you remember playing Joust on the Atari. . . if you just happen to be a hardcore gamer and want to be competitive, we’re working with tournament organizers all over the Pacific Northwest to be able to host really high end tournaments,” Newmark says.
Newmark used to run a medical marijuana dispensary with an identical name in the same building.
He hopes to be open in the next few weeks.
The Bellingham Business Journal reports Rook & Rogue on Magnolia street will be a place to play, buy and sell board games.
It’s scheduled to open on April 29 – International Tabletop Day.
